Fall Junior Golf League

Little Bear Golf Club is putting on a fall junior golf league. Every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month of September juniors can come out to play 5 holes for ONLY $6.00!!! Tee-Off will be at 4:30 p.m. Participants of age 7 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. To finish up the league there will be a pizza party with prizes on Thursday October 2nd. In order to keep play moving along we are asking each player to limit their strokes to 8 per hole. Call or stop in today to register!! 740-548-8532

2nd Annual Little Bear Open

Friday August 22, 2008 the Orange Township Firefighters Local 3816 presents the 2nd Annual Little Bear Open to benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio. A tournament format consisting of a 4-5 person per team scramble (shotgun start) with feature prizes for closest to the pin and trophies for the top teams. The course will be played twice for the tournament (20 holes total). Fees will be $40.00 per person which includes green fees and dinner. Dress code will be strictly enforces (collared shirts, no jeans). WrightChoice is putting on a dancing fundraiser presented by Wal-Mart here at Little Bear.

Join former Judge Yvette McGee Brown, TyKiah Wright, Founder and executive director of WrightChoice Inc. and other city leaders as they work to help the lives of disadvantaged young people at the Annual “Dancing Tonight with the Stars” Fundraising Gala presented by Wal-Mart. This is an exciting opportunity to not only change the lives of disadvantaged young people but also see the “stars” of Columbus truly shine. This event will feature a live auction where attendees will bid on a “dance of a lifetime” with elected officials, business leaders, television and radio personalities, and other local and national celebrities. Also, guests will have the opportunity to bid on many unique and exciting items during our silent auction. The goal of this year’s gala is to raise $500,000.

July 21st - 25th is Junior Golf Week at Little Bear! Call or stop by to sign up for a variety of lessons and fun. Click “continue reading” for a full list of the events.

Monday (21st) :

9:00 am - Beginners ages 8 & under - one hour lesson - $20

10:15am - Beginners ages 9 & up - one hour lesson $20

11:30 am - Intermediate players - 45 min. lesson followed by Taranto’s Pizza followed by another 45 min. lesson. - $30

Tuesday (22nd) :

9:00am - Beginners ages 9 & up - one hour lesson $20

10:30 am - Intermediate players - 45 min. lesson followed by Taranto’s Pizza followed by another 45 min. lesson. - $30

Wednesday (23rd):

9:00am - Intermediate Putting Lesson - one hour - $20

10:30 am - Experienced players - 45 min. lesson followed by Taranto’s Pizza followed by another 45 min. lesson. - $30

Thursday (24th):

9:00am - Beginners all ages - one hour - $20

10:15 am - All levels, lessons, hitting practice, lunch (Taranto’s Pizza) and play 5 holes on the course - $20

Friday (25th):

Tournament for players that have attended at least one session. Players will be divided into age groups and playing levels. Tee times will be assigned. Entry fee is only $15 and includes Taranto’s Pizza for lunch.
